IT Functional Analyst (Brussels)

Je functie: Context of the mission
The candidate will work within the Non-Life IS division. This group is responsible for all Non-Life products related developments (maintenance and new functionalities) of underwriting applications or claims management. The applications are developed based on a Cobol / DB2 back-office, with various technologies used on the visual, printing and communication side.
The first mission will be to participate to several projects related to the document generation systems.

Objective of the job
As Functional Designer, you will
° Be in charge of translating business requirements into a structured IT solution while keeping a functional approach.
° Help translating this functional design into well-tailored technical design.
° Prepare functional integration test cases based on the requirements
° Test of the product before delivery to the users
° Analyse potential corrective actions to be taken.
° Follow up of technical designers and programmers.
° Work closely with the business to ensure the final solution fits their needs.
° Coordinate projects
o Evaluate and plan activities
o Follow up of functional designers and developers
o Report progress status to Management Team
o Manage and anticipate risks
o Act proactively and define efficient action plans
o Challenge technical issues

Mission period
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 6 Months
(Depending on project evolution, extension is possible)

Localisation
Brussels center (near North station).

Education
Master in Engineering, Computer Sciences, Sciences. (or equivalent through experience)

° Significant experience as Business and Functional Analyst, ideally in large company, in direct contact with Business stakeholders.
° Experienced in project leading.
° Able to create new process (analyse)
° Able to adapt current process (analyse)
° Able to think in term of "services".
° Being able to make the bridge between technical and functional worlds.
