JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Modify existing software, to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
Analyse user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure
specifications are met
Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and layouts, and peripheral equipment modifications.
Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration.
THIS POSITION REQUIRES:
Oracle senior developer with 8+ years of experience
Experience on Oracle ETL and related technologies.
Hands on experience on SQL, PL/SQL and other
Demonstrable experience of good query performance tuning skills.
Experience with all phases of the systems development life cycle
Excellent organizational, problem solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
Mentoring experience, especially with developers in different locations.
Understanding of standard change control policies and procedures and ideally experience working in an IT environment with change control procedures
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
Awareness of test-driven development and design
Experience of working in a continuous integration environment (TeamCity)
Experience with Sybase ASE (15)
Business knowledge of Credit Risk
Experience with source control (preferably Subversion)
Experience with UNIX (Linux/AIX/Solaris
SKILLS:
- Strong knowledge of application and software development.
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
- Basic knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in production of drawings and models.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent training required.
