Skills: SQL Server Data Warehouse experience, C# Development background, Data Architecture, Physical and logical modeling, experience leading technical designs, working with large volumes of data, data dictionaries, data warehousing, confident dealing with D level/senior management. Background of process improvement.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a senior IT Data Architect for a leading Investment Bank based inCanaryWharf.

This Senior IT Data Architect will be responsible for the working within the banks back office liquidity management team. This team are looking to embark on multi-million pound transformation project to upgrade and deliver a strategic liquidity reporting platform.

This role will focus on the following:

1 work closely with users, systems designers, and the liquidity developers to design and build the required solutions.
2 Technical design and development of approach to data acquisition across all required business functions across the entire bank.
3 Design and provide development oversight to the data staging within the current IT area.
4 Design and provide development leadership on the post processing reporting layer.
5 Ensure the liquidity design fits within the overall strategy for treasury and all other pillars within the program.

This is a highly autonomous role, with a high level of responsibility, this individual will be hands on as well as a leader within the team, they will heavily be involved in the design, making sure best practices are adhered to, responsible for the framework design for ETL and staging layers of the architecture, having a hands on approach for developing and maintaining a formal description of the data and data structures including data definitions, data models, data flow diagrams, and all meta-data definitions. They will be providing leadership in the delivery and development of the project and ensure the data architecture is built the highest standard.
