IT Consultant

On behalf of our client in the Life Science industry, Harvey Nash is looking for an IT Consultant for a 2 + month project in Switzerland.

The role is about providing advice and support on ICT solutions with regard to analysis, target definition, concept development and implementation.
- You are responsible for
- Evaluation of customer, competitive and in-house systems for technical and commercial points of view.
- Creation and assessment of studies and concepts for implememtation in informatics taking into account current and future business needs. (Development in technology and the market)
- Evaluation, assessment and recommendations for the implementation of hardware, software and telecommunication technologies.
- Acquisition and execution of IT consulting projects.
- Providing input to the development of short and long term goals, policies and guidelines for the implementation of Information technology.
- Advising users on IT concepts and solutions
- Creation of customer specific solutions.
- Review and auditing of informatic projects.
- Planning the implementation of IT solutions at the customer site including project management and controlling

Requirements

- 5+ years experience with technical development on the sfdc platform
- 3+ years experience leading sfdc projects
- 3+ years experience with agile development practices
- Act as the salesforce.com expert both from a business process as well as a technical perspective
- Leading workshops with the business to define the user requirements
- Implementing the changes to our salesforce.com instance
- Ensuring user expectations in terms of usability are met and exceeded
- Communicating improvements back to the users
- Managing the development plan and backlog
- Interacting with internal technical staff and business as required
- Passion for agile user-centered approaches and methodologies
- Conceptual thinker with strong sfdc skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player
- Able to interact with technical staff and business
- Understanding of user experience and interaction design principles
- Able to quickly create effective communication material
- Lifesciences or healthcare domain experience
- Pharmaceutical R&D and clinical trials (nice-to-have)
- Degree in natural science, computer science or equivalent
- Excellent written and spoken English
