WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- The Coordinator's primary responsibilities are in communication and event planning in an effort to promote positive awareness for multiple IT projects and team events.
- Responsible for design, message, and content generation, including electronic and print communications
- Creating and managing budgets related to team effectiveness events
- Must utilize skills including team-based interaction, project management, administrative support, the ability to work under pressure and organizational skills
- Drives the implementation of the communication strategy and plan created for the Oracle R12 Upgrade.
- Follows a detailed communication work plan and schedule to write and edit the communications.
- Works closely with project team leadership to proactively support communication needs and help facilitate leadership alignment.
- Conducts feedback mechanisms to assess key concerns from the end user community.
- Assist in updating information on the corporate Intranet site
- Maintain email lists for internal and external communications.
- Coordinate events
- Assist vendors to book event space, arrange food and beverage, order supplies, equipment and signage, and ensure appropriate décor to meet quality and brand expectations.
- Conducts research about event possibilities.
- Propose new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation process.
- Serve as liaison with vendors on event-related matters.
- Assist with managing on-site production and clean-up for events as necessary.
- Keep track of event finances including check requests, invoicing, and reporting.
- Coordinate appointments and scheduling of events on the calendar.
- Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts to complete the necessary drafts for project communications.
- Coordinate event activities to ensure the team effectiveness program is implemented and within budget.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, English/Journalism, or a related communications field preferred
- Three to five (3-5) years of marketing, communications, media or public relations experience.
- Ability to develop and implement communication strategies for large-scale implementations.
- Ability to design, develop, and implement communications toolkits and other required media to support ongoing communication needs
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Creative thinking and problem solving skills.
- Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems, HTML, Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop.
- Experience developing and managing project budgets
- Experience facilitating meetings with high level cross functional teams
- Generally acceptable project management tools such as MS Project, Excel and all Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop functions
- Marketing Communications experience in copywriting, graphic design, or PR
- International experience is a plus.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience managing websites is preferred.
- International experience is a plus.
