IT Category Manager

Interim IT Category Manager. Norfolk. £450-£500 per day.

Based in Norfolk, a high profile employer of choice requires a Contract IT Hardware Procurement Specialist to take accountability for managing the delivery of the Hardware procurement strategy.
The main purpose of this role is to provide leadership to the Hardware Team and collectively ensure that all objectives are achieved to ensure savings and appropriate spend within the Hardware Strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Developing category source plans.
Implementing cost improvement strategies.
Supplier Relationship Management including developing supplier plans, conducting supplier reviews, introducing KPI's and implementing supplier improvement plans.
Contract Management including maximising benefits in procurement best practice.
Management Information to provide MI from suppliers on managed spend and savings.

The successful applicant should be well organised with strong communication and stakeholder management experience and a solid foundation in procuring Hardware products.

As the client managed a multi billion pound spend last year, the successful applicant will work on some of the highest profile procurement programmes.
