For a short-term project at our client, an international insurance company based in Zurich, we are looking for a
IT BUSINESS ANALYST - APPLICATION DESIGN (4713)
The ideal candidate will work closely together with a team of Business Analysts to understand requirements and with GLOBAL IT ARCHITECTURE in driving solutions for specific applications in the commercial Insurance landscape. The project is within the Portal Environment with which our client aims to enhance its digital offering.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5-10 YEARS (MAX. 12 YEARS) OF RELATED EXPERIENCE AS IT SME, SOFTWARE ENGINEER OR DEVELOPER WITH FOCUS ON APPLICATION DESIGN
- GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF WINDOWS SYSTEM ENVIRONMENTS, DATABASE SYSTEMS, DATA MODELLING, SQL, JAVA AND/OR ASP.NET PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE
- HIGHLY PROFICIENT IN MICROSOFT OFFICE AND MICROSOFT OS TOOLSETS
- Good knowledge in IT operations and troubleshooting
- Good knowledge of Eclipse (or similar) development environment is an advantage
- Experienced working in an agile development environment
- Skills of Unix systems (AIX) are beneficial
- FLUENT IN ENGLISH, GERMAN IS A BIG PLUS
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Responsible for key applications managing international insurance programs
- Review and validate the detailed technical design for business applications
- Make recommendation for application performance improvements, write change requests/specifications for technical changes and conduct code review
- Developing small tools and databases supporting testing or data conversions
- Liaison between Business and IT as well as supporting the Project Manager
- Consult and support local IT representatives regarding data exchange with central systems
- Respond to application problem tickets as necessary and act as application expert
