IT - BUSINESS ANALYST

We are looking to find a responsible and open minded candidate who adds value to our client's IT team. Our client is an international Swiss Bank.

WE OFFER:

- Partnering with the business and IT stakeholders to elicit, analyse, document and validate the business and functional requirements.
- Conduct functional walkthroughs with business users, other IT teams, and testing teams
- Close interaction with business stakeholders and various IT units (Business Project Managers, Business Analysts, Technology and Infrastructure Teams etc.)
- Act as liaison between the business and technical teams to streamline conversion of functional requirements to technical specifications
- Build and validate test strategies, plans, test cases and test data to ensure results match functional requirements
- Coordinate with relevant IT teams to execute end to end test cycles
- Research functional defects and provide solutions

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

- University degree in a relevant discipline with 5+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE FINANCIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY
- EXPERIENCE OF INVESTMENT BANKING preferably with a knowledge of all or some of the following is advantageous:
- OTC DERIVATIVES
- FRONT OFFICE BUSINESS PROCESSES
- MIDDLE OFFICE OPERATIONS BUSINESS PROCESSES
- PAYMENTS
- ACCOUNTING
- 5+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WRITING BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS AND FUNCTIONAL SPECIFICATIONS
- EXPERIENCE of working with the MUREX APPLICATION would be advantageous
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to network and collaborate with all levels of the business and IT organisation, both internally and externally, to rk effectively towards shared goals
- Confident and assertive with the ability to gain consensus when faced with differing views
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Dynamic, pro-active, self-motivated mentality. Ability to work without close supervision
- A team player who is delivery focused and has the motivation to support others and share information and knowledge
- Fluent written and spoken English, GERMAN IS ADVANTAGEOUS
