IT Business Analyst

The Technical Business Analyst in this contract position will analyze business problems and provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Designs details of automated systems. Provide consultation to user in the area of automated systems.

The candidate will need the skills of a junior PM, well organized, able to manage multiple 'sub-projects' (groups of Servers) needing to be refreshed, strong ownership of tasks assigned. Comfortable with repeated submission of detailed data and updates into Project SharePoint site. Ideal Candidate has worked on both Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) projects and Infrastructure Buildout projects, including application and data migration into new environments. Experience and understanding of Network and Virtual Desktop (VDI) technologies helpful.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Participate in a support role in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-pressure environment involving multiple projects of high priority.
- Proactively prepare for project demands, including reports, updates and ad hoc processes.
- Manage and coordinate project artifacts relative in project SharePoint site.
- Utilize Visio to document data and work flows needed to support project design.
- Utilize and maintain standard documents, templates and written communications.
- Provide reporting, communications and coordination with various team members and key stakeholders on independent activities.
- Identify other key system or business interdependencies.

SKILLS

- Requires 3-5 years of experience
- Experience using multiple tools, processes, and methodologies (project management suites, service/workflow request systems, time tracking, etc.)
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with excellent problem solving, analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and multi-task complex projects
- Works independently, provide input to the program/project manager on various activities
- Clear understanding and proficiency across multiple technology platforms and delivery methods
