IT Application Support Specialist Job

IT APPLICATION SUPPORT SPECIALIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Wilmington, Delaware

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Documentum 6.5 or higher
- Troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Server and or infrastructure upgrades

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Responsible for Support of Production and Q/A Documentum environments that are critical applications.
- Troubleshooting and resolution of end-user issues that have been escalated from front line support.
- Performing Documentum and other server infrastructure upgrades.
- Service monitoring to head off issues before they become critical.
- Work with an application development team in India.
- Responsible for ensuring the systems have been adequately backed up and may require working with server support teams to troubleshoot any backup or infrastructure issues.
- Ensure 24x7 uptime for applications.
- Coordinate the resolution of end user problems, providing the appropriate level of support and escalating issues as needed.
- Define and document support processes.
- Communicate with stakeholders so that expectations of problem resolution as set early and often. Participate in collaborative work and service restoration teams as needed to ensure standards are being followed and that service is restored quickly and correctly.
- Perform root cause analysis to prevent repeat issues. Drive continuous improvement by recommending procedures and controls for problem prevention and providing feedback to the Solutions Delivery Team.
- Participate in successful transition of new applications into the organization.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or similar technical area of study
- Developing applications in DCTM 6.5 or Higher. Map business requirements to technology.
- Database operations and troubleshooting Performance Tuning Creating business process workflows DCTM security implementation Adding business value
- Linux/Solaris basic operations
- Business driven solution implementation
