IT Application Analyst - Information Technology

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an IT APPLICATION ANALYST to join our client in LEAWOOD, KS.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides support to application users.
- Answers questions regarding system procedures, online transactions, systems status, and downtime procedures.
- Responsible for gathering, compiling and synthesizing information with regard to technology processes or systems.
- This job may exist in the following domains: Enterprise Resource Planning Transactional Services, Manufacturing and Engineering Services, Logistics and Warehouse Services, Employee Services, Marketing, Sales, and Corporate Services.
- Programming/Database Support: Programming duties will require provided support and modifying existing code, writing new programs or codes as need, testing and integrating all new and existing codes into everyday work practices (approximately 10%).
- Help support; administer existing databases in currently used commercial engineering database software.
- Help setup and create new databases as required (approximately 40%).
- Additional duties may include installing, evaluating and validating engineering software upgrades.
- Having a strong understanding of computer software and the ability to troubleshoot in a systematic way, regardless of the amount of experience and/or direct training in the actual software program, to determine root causes and solutions.
- All systems in the office are currently windows operating environments.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS):
- Experience with Visual Basic 6.0, MS Access, SQL, and Excel.
- Preferred Skills: Java, Aspentech Software, C/C+ General IT (Information Technology) Support: Support End users with daily PC issues including setup of new PCs, installation and troubleshooting software, printing and filing issues.
- Experience assisting with LAN and WAN troubleshooting including projects to install new Servers or additional infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Windows, MS Office, Outlook Preferred Skills: Microsoft Certification.
