This is a 6 month contract opportunity. Overview
Our Client is seeking an IS Business Advisor.
Reporting to the Business Relationship Manager in IS, the Business Advisor will be responsible to: - Work directly with the business to understand and document key business problems and opportunities
- Assist in developing innovative and strategic approaches to solving business issues through the use of technology.
Role and Responsibilities
- Works with the business to document requirements and transition to IS for implementation
- Ensures stewardship to IS Standard Business Processes
- Facilitates prioritization sessions with the business and IS to focus on high value work
- Escalates critical issues to minimize impact to the business
- Focus on the analysis of issues and opportunities that are of priority and aligned to business strategy
- Facilitation of information gathering sessions (process, requirements, cost benefit etc.)
- Leads or provides input into the development of project "Opportunity Statements" and project initiation
- Works with the business to assess and analyze business opportunities and provides input into the development of business cases to reflect the business value
- Presents findings from analysis with recommendations and planning for transition to project teams for design, build, and commissioning/startup
- Assuring defined business requirements are being met by the proposed technical solutions
- Providing updates on IS infrastructure projects, and impact to the business
- Communicate technology roadmaps to the business.
Qualifications
Required Skills - Minimum of 7 years relevant industry experience including experience in the business advisory role
- Responsive to customer needs and effective knowledge of business and IT processes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skill with the ability to work in a collaborative and consultative manner
- Possesses a high degree of business acumen and IT literacy and able to manage a high degree of business interaction and carries the challenge of engaging business and IT personnel
- Proven analytical skills and application of results and able to translate customer need into IS business requirements,
- Must be able to function effectively under the stress of conflicting priorities and deadlines.
Desired Experience
- SAP Experience
- Business knowledge including Treasury, Tax, Internal Audit, and Finance
- IT Processes knowledge.
