IP NETWORKING SPECIALIST
For our Telecom Client Motorola Solutions are we looking for and IP Networking Specialist to work in Rome, Italy. You will be dedicated to projects related to the Middle East and may require occasional travel, so a degree of flexibility is required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for deployment of transmission links through microwave or fibre as per the solution document of the project
- Interfacing with the customers for handover and integration with customer's systems
- Assessing material availability for each phase of the project and escalating the issues for shortages well in advance.
- Coordinating with partners for quality and timely deployment
- Troubleshooting with the partners in case of technical problems.
- Escalating the problems and bottlenecks as soon as it is noticed.
- Ensure end to end testing is completed with the customer and links are handed over to customers with formal sign-off.
- Circulating daily & weekly progress reports as required
- Visiting sites and customers as required
- Adherence to the plan as per solution document
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing/Switching, MPLS, Traffic Engineering, L2 and L3 technologies
- Hands-on experience in Installation, Configuration and troubleshooting of Routers and Switches
- Experience in problem solving on IP Core networks including routing convergence issues, routing configuration issues, WAN protocol issues will be added advantage.
- CCNA/CCNP certified will be highly regarded
