Your Opportunity
Huawei continues its steep professional services growth with networks operators in Western Europe. For one of our leading customers in The Netherlands we are expanding our Network Architecture and Design team. As IP Network Architect you will be responsible for translating the customers' business and technology requirements into network solutions, from an end-to-end perspective and across the fixed and mobile network domains. The solutions need to be business-driven and down to a level that they can be designed, validated and rolled out into the live network by the innovation teams. This role is a highly dynamic front line assignment, with intense daily customer interaction, direct business impact and high visibility both in the customers' and Huawei's organization.

Your Profile and Experience
As a senior professional we expect you have a Bachelor/HBO or comparable degree in Telecoms or ICT and to bring at least 8 years of experience in the ICT market, preferably within European network operators or international leading vendors. You understand European operators' business drivers, innovation processes and the latest FMC market/technology trends. As IP Architect you have CCIE or comparable recognized industry certification. You have an excellent end-to-end understanding of fixed and/or mobile broadband networks and the underlying technologies. You are profound in engaging and dealing with customer, both on technical (architect) and business (director) levels. You have a proven track record in developing IP Transformation and/or Fixed-Mobile Convergence solutions. You have a strong sense of achievement, are a self-starter with high motivation and dedication. You are outspoken and pro-active person. You like working in international environment and you have a hands-on working style with lots of pragmatism. You are an out-of-the-box thinker, capable of challenging established ways-of-working for the sake of improving results and efficiency.

Your Assignment
Inside our Netherlands Local Office you will join the Network Technology Department. You will be assigned as the Lead Architect to our customer's Joint Network Innovation Team. You will mainly work in our customer's premises, engaging with the customers' architect team to work on the network solutions for their IP and Mobile Core network domains. Your will gather and consolidate their requirements and translate them into viable architecture solutions, balancing between technology options, business implications and Huawei portfolio capabilities. You will document the solutions to a level which you can get approved by the customer's management and which you can hand over to the design teams for implementation. You will liaise with Huawei product managers and R&D to align the feasibility of your solutions. You will engage across with customer and Huawei stakeholders across the domains to ensure end-to-end functionality, synergy and efficiency of your solutions. For this, you will deal - in a multi-cultural environment - with the customer, with Huawei local staff and Huawei headquarters in China.
