ROLE: INVESTMENT OPERATIONS ASSISTANT MANAGER

ROLE PURPOSE:

Global Data Services is made up from 3 groups: Global Market Data within HSBC Securities Services, Global Data Operations from GB&M, and Reference Data IT.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The role of the Assistant Manager is to provide day-to-day Market Data support for HSS services. To assist in both the research work for Market Data standards, and the proactive investigation required to ensure the business is aware of, and prepared to cope with, changes in market practice and moves into new market areas.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

- Educated to degree level or hold Investment related qualification (eg Securities Institute certificate)
- Experience in a Market Data, Pricing and Valuations or Corporate Action environment
- Ability to plan and organise workload, taking into account relative priorities
- Ability to work accurately under pressure to tight deadlines
- Strong relationships skills/ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
- Good knowledge of international investment markets
- Excellent knowledge of Reuters, Bloomberg and relevant data feeds
