Investment Banking Solution Architect Legacy System Transition

A Solution Architect will provide design, product development and documentation to transition from a Legacy system to a platform for a leading bank.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Solution Architect will design solutions for a Legacy system transition using process tools available, acquiring vendors, understand suppliers.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

- Designing software and hardware capabilities sufficient to meet the demands of business, data, and application services. This includes IT infrastructure, Middleware, services, communications, processing, and standards.
- All aspects of the solution architecture (ie maintainability, scalability, effective integration with other solutions, usage of shared solutions and components where possible, optimization of the resource consumption, etc.) with the objective to drive the appropriate balance between business needs and total cost of ownership.
- Review and validate high-level design documentation and detailed-level design documentation produced by development teams.

ESSENTIAL SKILL & EXPERIENCE:

- Producing end-to-end solution designs, putting together technologies from multiple IT areas.
- Solution Architect or a Development Manager within Investment Banking and Telecommunications - Billing. Investment Banking is an essential requirement.
- Proven ability to balance functional requirements and IT solutions in terms of Standardization, reducing risk and increasing IT flexibility
- Worked in an enterprise data management function providing solutions that follows industry standard processes and architecture methodologies.
- Able to do own coding.

The ideal Solution Architect applicant will have experience from a telecoms billing function with exposure to volume messages and will have experience transitioning from multiple Legacy systems within Investment Banking.

Based in London with International Travel. Applicants without the above essential skills nor available immediately or on short notice will not be favourably considered.
