Inventory Manager

Client is looking for a Materials Coordinator in Somerset, NJ for a long term contract need. You need 3-5 years of relevant experience and need to live within commuting distance to the job. Your main responsibility will be to keep track of materials and spare parts on a 6 acre lot for a power generation company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Receive, determine proper storage, & place material in stock, order, issue & expedite parts as required, performing all required transactions in SAP
- Maintain accurate inventory records for project, spare and valued inventory material using SAP, SPARTS or other MS Excel or Access databases
- Ensure that the correct number of parts are available and in working order for field installations
- Perform physical inventory on parts and material in stock and update SAP accordingly
- Coordinate scrapping of material that has been determined unfit for use or obsolete
- Coordinate and prepare materials management, inventory reports and documents to support project requirements
- Input materials receipt information and inventory data into materials management system
- Track material using a Excel Spreadsheets
- Provide material support for substation spare equipment and material
- Coordinate and direct Material Handlers/Riggers

REQUIREMENTS

- You need 7-10+ years of experience as a Materials Manager or Site Materials Coordinator supporting large, heavy industrial EPC projects
- Any materials coordination experience supporting large power generation, substation, or Transmission Line EPC projects is a PLUS
- Candidate must have some SAP experience (SAP experience should be current even if not in depth)
- Utility background is a plus
- Must have a strong MS Excel background
