Inventory Accountant - Hedging - SAP - GAAP

INVENTORY ACCOUNTANT/LEIDEN, NETHERLANDS/5 MONTHS CONTRACT/37 TO 59 EUR (PER HOUR)

Johnson & Johnson are seeking an Inventory Accountant. The Accountant will be reconciling inventory accounts to the general ledger.

- Analyzing variances
- Preparing monthly journal entries as needed
- Analyze reserves, scrap and loss
- Participate in inventory related cross departmental meetings
- Assisting in the improvement in internal controls related to inventory
- Prepare for audits
- accounting for several accounts eg Hedging accounts, VAT accounts and GRIR accounts.

JOB REQUIREMENT

- Experience as an Inventory or Cost Accountant.
- Operationally oriented and comfortable working in a production plant environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required.
- An understanding of GAAP in relation to inventory.
- Is flexible and able to work as part of a team.
- Willing to learn and able to work under pressure
- Proficient in English, MS Excel and SAP
- Have a detailed understanding of MRP and inventory control systems with a working knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive
