Inventory Accountant

Inventory Accountant
Contract - Six Months
Location- Newport

An inventory Accountant is required for a contract position based in Newport, South Wales
Duties to include:
*Accurate valuation of inventory and ensure process adherence and financial controls are in place
*Produce reporting for our overseas inventory file)
*Internal reporting to share with Financial Controllers to highlight level of stock, slow move/obsolete, stock adjustments and vendor stock - assisting Financial
Controllers to have viability of these costs to identify risks and
*Improve inventory management
*Educate the Controllers as to how to extract the reports themselves and how to investigate inventory issues
*Identification of process issues and resolution of root cause at source
*Documentation of processes and implement lean to improve processes
*Support Operations and Financial Controllers in relation to inventory
External and internal audit support

Skills and Experience
Experience of working within an Inventory Accounting Environment or a suitable qualification in Accounting of Finance
