Inventory Accountant

An inventory Accountant is required for a contract position based in Newport, South Wales

Duties to include:

Accurate valuation of inventory and ensure process adherence and financial controls are in place

Produce reporting for our overseas inventory file

Internal reporting to share with Financial Controllers to highlight level of stock, slow move/obsolete, stock adjustments and vendor stock - assisting Financial Controllers to have viability of these costs to identify risks and Improve inventory management

Educate the Controllers as to how to extract the reports themselves and how to investigate
inventory issues

Identification of process issues and resolution of root cause at source

Documentation of processes and implement lean to improve processes

Support Operations and Financial Controllers in relation to inventory

External and internal audit support

Skills and Experience
Experience of working within an Inventory Accounting Environment or a suitable qualification in Accounting of Finance
