International Project Engineer (IPE)

Our client is the world's leading software corporation seeking an International Project Engineer/Localization Engineer to work on their games platform and mobile devices.

SPECIFIC SERVICES AND DELIVERABLES INCLUDE:

- Work closely with IPMs supporting in various technical aspects of localization projects including; during creation of lockits for handoffs, investigation of issues around build/bugs, localization tools, testing efforts.
- Work with the developers in trouble-shooting issues on the team's internal tools, add-in's, automation/scripts.
- Document (specs) for the team's internal tools and in-development tools.
- Assist to drive localization test efforts.

KEY DELIVERABLES OR DAILY FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

- Perform localization engineering tasks for game content, game audio files, web or desktop UI.
- Prepare and deliver game content and other resource handoffs to localization vendor.
- Take delivery of and perform validation on hand backs from localization vendor.
- Troubleshoot and fix localization and respective build issues.
- Support localization vendors and answer queries on the usage of project-specific tools and processes.
- Support geopolitical tasks on both en-us and international languages.
- Interact with partner teams in Europe and Asia.
- Participate in after-hours conf calls as needed to meet delivery deadlines and to resolve issues.
- Respond to day-to-day technical issues that arise in localization projects.
- Develop or update custom tools used in the localization process.
- Carry out other miscellaneous engineering tasks as required to deliver localization project.

TECHNOLOGY/TOOLS NEEDED TO ACCOMPLISH DAILY TASKS:

- Visual Studio/Team Foundation Server
- Version Control Software
- MS Office Applications (Word, Excel)
- Adobe Flash software knowledge
- Must be able to quickly learn and use internal tools through documentation and training
