International Project Engineer

We are looking for a strong International Project Engineer (IPE) who can manage handoffs and handbacks for multiple UA projects. The IPE will need to track the appropriate schedules and ensure high-quality handoffs happen on time under tight schedules. Additionally, the IPE will be involved in identifying existing IPE tasks that are suitable for automation and working with the team to implement this automation.

Candidate must have experience in content localization and content management systems, sharp coding skills, and good communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project execution as well as process improvement.

OVERVIEW

- Manage localization cycle including handoffs and handbacks for UA projects, one of which localizes into 50 languages
- Act as the first point of contact on technical questions from stakeholder teams
- Bug investigating and fixing
- Troubleshoot localization issues
- Provide support to localization vendors in different time zones and answer queries they might have
- Prepare localization kits
- Participate in the ongoing improvements of our end-to-end localization process and workflow
- Participate in review and validation of tools and processes
- Increase the standardization of processes, templates, tools and procedures while maintaining flexibility to manage project or market-specific components
- Collaborate with tools development teams to streamline localization tools and processes and identifying tasks that are suitable for automation
- Work closely with your peers in localization, engineering, and test
- Manage links on the website (>100 markets)

REQUIREMENTS

- In-depth knowledge of UA localization process and tools, specifically Trados
- 3+ years of experience in localization engineering (at least 2 years with UA projects), knowledge of the localization cycle
- Knowledge of HTML, XML, XLIFF file formats
- Knowledge of software development cycle.
- Solid technical, analytical problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Programming skills (C++ or C#) and Scripting
- Results driven, action oriented, and quick learner who has the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in order to solve problems and meet deadlines
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of tools such as Product Studio, TFS, Source Depot, MS Office, SharePoint
- BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience

- Knowledge of localizability and globalization concepts
- Experience developing productivity tools
- DxStudio experience
- Familiarity with machine translation
