Interim Team Manager - Risk Reporting (Brussels)

Je functie: Context
Located within Group Finance, the Steering Centre Group Credit Risk Reporting (GC2R) is responsible for providing complete, accurate and
timely credit risk reports prepared in accordance with regulatory requirements (most notably Basel III, and its transposition in European
and national laws).
Within GC2R, Control & Reporting is responsible for drawing up and delivering the reports, and interacting with Group Finance teams
(or their equivalent for sub-consolidation perimeters for which GC2R delivers services) and with the regulators (depending on the reports).
Control & Reporting in turn is organized in two teams:
- Capital Credit Risk Reporting builds on the work performed in GC2R - Calculation & Analysis and completes and finalises the

reporting on Basel III credit (and counterparty) risk-weighted assets
- Transversal Risk Reporting leverages the data used in credit risk reports and completes it to prepare additional reportings such as

Large Exposures, International Commitments, Country Risk, Basel I floor, or foreign exchange risk-weighted assets.

Function Description
As T2R Interim Team Manager is responsible for a team of 5-6 team members.
For the reports in his/her scope, he/she will ensure the accuracy, credibility and efficiency of BNPP reporting to the management,
regulators and financial markets. To do so, he/she will organize, coordinate and control the work performed in the team, and will coach
and motivate the members of the team. He/she will also track and prepare for changes in our environment (e.g., new regulatory
requirements), as well as identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
This assignment is temporary, and will last through August 2015.

INTERPERSONAL AND MANAGERIAL SKILLS
The team manager will require very good interpersonal / people management skills to organize, control, coach and motivate the team to
understand and respect regulation norms, deadlines, and required quality levels.
The team manager will also need to foster a good collaboration with the other GC2R teams and with the SC CRS (MOA). Regular contacts with
Group and Local Finance managers and regulators also require credibility and good communication skills. Given the temporary nature of the
assignment, previous people management experience is a prerequisite.

ANALYTICAL AND PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS
Due to the very high complexity of Solvency rules and the ever increasing pressure of banks
regulation (including in term of disclosures and in different approaches applied at local levels)
coupled with a complex and evolving set of systems, the manager must be creative,
rigorous and efficient in his day to day work but also in mid and long term perspectives. He/she
will need to track and prepare for changes in our environment (such as changes in regulatory
requirements or organisational changes) as well as identify and pro-actively pursue opportunities
for permanent improvement in the team's processes.

Technical Experience
Mandatory
As first contact to Group and Local Finance managers and regulators, the team manager must be able to ensure the
correct computation of the specific disclosures and explain the results thereof. This requires:
- A good understanding of the Group's products and services and the types of risks (credit, counterparty, market) they entail
- Good IT analytical skills (direct knowledge of systems through which the different types of risks are captured and reported is an asset)
- Relevant knowledge and experience of Basel III and similar rules
- Previous experience in risk and/or financial reporting
