Interim Senior Developer (f/m)

For our client in Darmstadt we are looking immediately for a Senior Developer for the duration of 4 months with an option of renewal.
Based on lean and agile methodology, the Developer takes responsibility for tasks assigned to the team that will cover all aspects of the software development life-cycle, from agile planning, architecture and specification via design, implementation, validation and testing to deployment, installation and support.

Driven by strong customer focus, the developer strives at maximizing customer value while adhering to the team's standards for the best-in-class quality, efficiency and transparency. As part of an agile team, the developer will dedicate time and energy to continuous improvement of team processes and personal as well as professional skills.

Responsibilities

- Develop client/server applications in the domain of command and control (e.g. coordinate emergency response teams), smart urban management (traffic, water or energy management) or functionality in the area of video- and data analytics. Develop mobile applications for Android, iOS, BB or Windows mobile applications for smart phones and tablets that provide situational awareness, personal safety, communication or sensor functionality
- Apply the scrum process framework in international, agile cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders and manage the end-to-end integration and testing, test automation, continuous integration and delivery.

Requirements

- Masters in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering/Network Communication
- Experience in industrial development environments in one of these areas: Telecom, Systems Integration, Databases, Operating Systems or Applications
- Programming expertise in distributed systems based on Microsoft (C#, .NET, ASP.NET, MS SQL, NHibernate; J#, VB, VB.NET, Active Directory; Windows Server, TFS) optional: Java, Javascript, HTML5, C++, CUDA, iOS, SQL; linq; aJAX, SOAP, REST, *sh, Ant, Maven, Junit, CI Frameworks, WPF, PRISM, MEF, xUnit, SpecFlow
- Experience in large system integration (design, development, testing, QA)
- Either low level system experience or application programmingExperience in large system in Agile development teams is a plus, as well as Scrum, XP, or Crystal.
- Knowledge of and interest in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Lean Architecture
- Experience in mobile applications, Business Intelligence/Analytics, Visual Computing, IT Security, software robustness, design by contract, clean code is desirable
- Experience in user centric software design, e.g. Design Thinking, is a plus
- Ability to work well in a matrix team environment

- Demonstrates initiative and creativity by originating, anticipating and implementing new ideas
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
