Interim Procurement Lead

Interim Procurement Lead, London, 500 per day, 12 months +

A Management Consultancy that provide Procurement, Change and Transformation services into the UK Central Government is looking to recruit an interim Procurement Lead on an initial 12 month contract with the option of extending by a further 6 months. This organisation play a considerable part in a number of major change projects across Government and have consultants currently working on some of the highest calibre projects in the UK.

My client has been engaged by a new end client to deliver a commercial framework in light of much needed procurement improvement. This role will drive forward the procurement improvement project and will be involved both strategically and operationally in its development and delivery.

Working with a key executive stakeholder, the successful candidate will be responsible for;

-Providing consultative services to both internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of project.
-Lending procurement expertise to the development and delivery of a number of key commercial contracts.
-Delivering a water tight procurement business plan to serve the organisation moving forward.
-On boarding a number of key stakeholders across numerous categories, ensuring 'buy in' and positive relationships with Procurement.

The successful candidate will have a number of years experience in client facing roles, ideally in Central Government. OJEU expertise is in this case a prerequisite and candidates must be able to show evidence of being commercially astute in a politically sensitive and complex environment.
