Interim Procurement Advisor

My client is a Government regulatory body seeking an interim senior procurement advisor with experience of undertaking IT and professional services procurement. This will be a long term contract, potentially extending to 18 months

Key deliverables:
- Using frameworks to procurement a range of goods and services, principally IT and consultancy
- To ensure procurement paths fully involve all relevant parties
- Providing procurement advice to the business
- Ensure that the financial and legal requirements for procurements are fully met
- Develop working relationships with suppliers
- Develop and maintain relationships with GPS

Key experience and skills required
- Experience of procuring IT within a public sector environment
- Knowledge of EU rules and regs including OJEU
- Experience of using government frameworks
- Ideally MCIPS qualified, or working towards
