Interim Head of Quality Patient Safety&clinical Effectiveness

I am urgently looking for an Interim Head of Quality Patient Safety&Clinical Effectiveness who will be responsible for supporting the Director of Quality and Governance to fulfil the statutory duties and functions associated with quality, safety and risk and regulatory processes.

You will work with the lead commissioners and clinical leads to take a leading role on quality improvements with NHS and non-NHS providers and will be the main point of contact in relation to patient safety and clinical effectiveness. You will also lead the team in developing and maintaining effective systems for quality assurance, including developing and agreeing of standards, metrics, and CQUIN schemes, monitoring, training and development, investigation of serious incidents working across organisations, performance-managing the management of such incidents in provider organisations, and reporting to the CCG Boards and relevant groups and committees.

Other responsibilities include:
- Contributing to the development and implementation of the CCG Quality strategy,
- Leading and developing robust assurance processes to ensure CIP do not impact on the quality and safety of service provision,
- Receiving the analysis, conducting of complex information from surveys, audits, reviews and investigations and work with performance and commissioning colleagues,
- Managing, motivating and developing staff within the directorate to ensure they are able to deliver the new responsibilities of the CCG.

You will ideally be a nurse or have a clinical background.
