I am working on an exciting opportunity to join my client through a period of growth and change. As the Head of HR & OD you will work both strategically and operationally and will report into the Managing Director with responsibility for generalist HR as well as talent, wellbeing initiatives, workforce planning, T&A, payroll and L&D. There will also be a big emphasis around management development and developing the performance and appraisal process throughout the business.

The client has ambitious growth plans and has already doubled in size over the last year. You will have a UK only remit and be responsible for a unionised workforce of just over 300. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate with drive and ambition to help develop and improve the HR service offering to the business. You will work at the heart of the business and report directly into the Managing Director.

It is important that you can consultant and work strategically with the client in order to achieve their people and business plans, but equally as important to work "hands on" and operationally. You will also be leading a small HR team as well as training, payroll, HRIS and Health & Safety.

To be considered for this assignment it is essential that you have proven experience at Head of HR level, have strong change management experience, can work at a strategic and operational level and have worked within manufacturing/blue collar industries

It would be highly desirable if you have previous experience in overseeing payroll/HRIS and health and safety

This is a 6 month contract starting no later than Monday 7th September
