Interim Head of Contract (Non-IT) Acute Trust Main Activity contracts management
Our client an NHS ACUTE Trust in London are recruiting a Interim Head of Contracts

Minimum of 5 years at a senior level, ideally within healthcare or other high-risk organisation
Previous senior experience of contract management in an acute Trust contracting function.
Experience of negotiating complex service provision packages with other NHS organisations and/or independent sector collaborative's
Negotiating tough but fair deals with commissioning bodies and suppliers, and building in sensible performance measures
Seeking out better ways of doing things from other organisations and implementing these
Resolving conflicts or disputes in a way that strengthens working relationships between internal and external partners/parties
Previous experience of managing teams.
Proven track record in developing successful relationships with external organisations and key stakeholders
Evidence of decision making where no precedence exists, able to advise and lead in designated area of authority

The gravitas and credibility to influence and gain the confidence of board members and senior decision makers within and outside the Trust
The ability to explain complex ideas and multi-faceted proposals in clear, simple terms, using a variety of media, including presentations and reports
The ability to present contentious proposals to a wide variety of internal and external audiences and to deal with challenge, hostility or emotive responses constructively and persuasively
The ability to prioritise conflicting demands in a highly pressurised environment, delivering on the important as well as the urgent
Determination to continuously seek out better ways of doing things from other organisations and other service areas
The ability to create a clear vision of where their service is going and to inspire their team to turn that vision into reality
Highly numerate and advanced use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Able to work with & manipulate highly complex data.
Ability to analyse, interpret and present complex issues and data both internally and externally in a clear and concise manner.
Politically astute
Able to lead, motivate and inspire others.
Exceptionally high verbal and written communication skills and ability to write for a range of audiences
Able to employ a range of influencing strategies.
Demonstrates confidence and self belief when under pressure and able to make sense of often conflicting priorities
Demonstrates ability to self manage workload and complexity in order to operate effectively at Trust wide level.
Ability to design and follow a line of investigation and critically appraise
Ability to analyse national and local policy documents, identify implications and apply these to future scenarios
Advanced negotiation skills and a detailed understanding of the commissioning framework within which the Trust operates
