Interim Head of Applications Support

My client requires an Interim Head of Applications Support.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership across Application Services ensuring that challenges and deliverables are met. Be responsible for the successful transition of Application Support activities into a Shared Central Application Services function and contribute to the evaluation of new products and technologies ensuring maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

- Ownership of the production environment for all applications deployed
- The 24x7x365 applications support functions for all applications and databases
- Providing direction for the application support function at an enterprise level
- Proactively research and recommend courses of action to prevent problems and to maintain high Application service levels
- Establishing metrics, key performance indicators and service level agreements for driving the performance of Application Service Delivery

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- The ability to create a long term scalable Application Support organisation
- Assist in the transitioning of Application Support services into a Central Application Services team
- Implement the appropriate break-fix and small change requirements support model
- Can work with the IT Service desk to provide an end-to-end application support capability
- Can work with Service management to provide a capability for maintain high service levels and appropriate communications with all applications users
- Ability to work with the Application Support Managers to ensure they have the right support
- Ability to work with the IT Application Architecture team and Development and Delivery Services to provide a capability for the rapid solution of technical issues
- Able to influence at senior management level and with key stakeholders
- Experience in application monitoring, application support processes, processes and application testing and release processes
