Our Public Sector client is seeking an experienced Interim Communications Manager for a period of 4 months to lead the management of communications of the Major Projects and Growth Directorate. You will be responsible for improving and bringing together communications to ensure the delivery of timely, well planned, joined-up and coherent messages across all delivery partners.

The role will also involve:

- Improving of the communication strategy, both internal and external.
- Developing and active management of a Directorate wide stakeholder management
- Working closely with all communications leads in the various projects to ensure that all benefits from communications are maximized
- Providing new ideas to how the benefits of the programmes can be more widely understood and publicized
- Work closely with and give leadership to all the communications leads in the various projects
- Providing a secretariat function for a Directorate wide Communications working group

To be considered for this opportunity you must:

- Have good understanding and experience of working for Central Government
- Proven track record of developing stakeholder communication strategy
- Proven track record of leading communications across complex organizational boundaries
- Previous experience of managing audience perceptions
- Background of rail/transport sector is highly desirable
