Interim Commercial Manager

THE CLIENT
Our client a leading healthcare provider are looking to hire an interim commercial manager with suitable experience in evaluating, negotiating, closing, and advising on health care contracts, sub-contracts, and property agreements for a period of 6 months.

THE INTERIM ASSIGNMENT
Following the likelihood of being awarded a new healthcare contract for primary care and mental health services across a number of prisons the work portfolio will be varied from commercial input to tender opportunities to closing contracts/sub-contracts during service mobilisations through to advising & resolving contract matters that arise during service delivery.

THE INTERIM MANAGER
The preferred individual will have good commercial acumen so will be able to advise on a wide range of issues in a manner suitable to the audience - eg be able to advise the Head of Finance and other senior leaderships members, alongside operational colleagues who may have limited commercial knowledge. The individual should be conversant with the standard contracts used in Healthcare and adept at determining when they need to seek advice - eg from senior colleagues, external legal advisors. An CCAB accountancy and/or legal qualification would be preferred but not essential. This role will require travel and likely overnight stays (as some locations are not readily accessible). The organisation promotes flexible working, though it is important that the successful candidate will be able to attend face to face meetings.
