Required for the Summer term 2013, with the possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate.

We are currently recruiting for a Primary Assistant Headteacher on an interim basis to start after the Easter holidays until the end of the academic year.

This large 2 form entry Primary school in Croydon provides for children from Nursery up to Year 6 and has a specially resourced provision for pupils with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD). The school was graded as "Good" in its recent Ofsted inspection and the school's success is due to the collective ambition of all members of the school community. The school prides itself on its rich, friendly environment and the inspirational leadership provided by both the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher.

The school is looking for an Assistant Headteacher with proven leadership experience in a Primary setting and the ability to develop excellent relationships with parents and pupils alike. The role would come with responsibility for curriculum and literacy in the school and would include working with the Year 5 and 6 classes in a non-class based setting. At the moment, this is an interim position due to last for the summer term, however, if the school find the right candidate, they are willing to offer a permanent position from September 2013.
