Interim Assistant Accountant - Reporting Officer

Our Central Government client is seeking an experienced Interim Assistant Accountant - Reporting Officer. You will report to the Deputy Head of Management Accounting. You must be qualified to AAT level or be a Part-Qualified ( CCAB) Accountant. Deadline for applying is Monday, 2nd Dec 2013.

Other key responsibilities include:

- Producing the monthly management accounts, in accordance with the monthly timetable.

* Amending and creating Oracle Financial Statement generator reports in order to further enhance the performance reporting suite for the business.
* Providing support to the Financial Controller by assisting in the production of the audit file
* Reconciling key balance sheet and income & expenditure accounts
* Setting up the Audit file and cross reference all documentation in time
* Being responsible for monthly VAT reconciliations

To apply for this role you must have:

* Qualification in AAT or be a Part Qualified (CCAB) accountant
* A proven track record of Oracle general Ledger and Projects Module
* Understanding of the compilation of Income and Expenditure Accounts, balance Sheet and cash flow Statements
Experience of writing Financial Statement generator Reports or similar financial reports
Experience of using Pivot Tables, V&H Look ups, If Statements, SUM Ifs, Index match, Search and Date functions,
Experience of working for public sector, ideally central government organizations. Commercial experience is desirable.
