INTEGRATED LOGISTICS MANAGER

This is a job opportunity within Government for a 6 month contract position. It is also an excellent networking opportunity to move into different projects around the site and develop your career/experience within the MoD and Defence.

BACKGROUND

The main objectives of the AC Team ILSM are to ensure that the relevant requirements of the Air Commodities Team Business Management Plan are achieved by the responsibilities below.

The ACT ILSM is accountable to the ACT Team Leader for defining and coordinating the ILS requirements and departmental policy interpreted for ACT's business for projects allocated.

Additionally, you will be accountable to the individual Project Managers of these projects for ensuring ILS deliverables are achieved to performance, cost and timescales. You may also be required to deputise for more senior member of the team if required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assisting in providing specialist ILS advice to other PM desk officers and project staff on requirements for tools, GPTE and ST&TE.

Liaise with other project teams on ILS requirements for tools, GPTE and ST&TE.

Undertake technical investigations, as tasked by the Programme Manager (PM), through the Project Managers for Air Commodities team.

Assist within the AC Team as trade specialist for the Military and provide advice to PM desk officers on Tri-Service maintenance, training and trade employment policies.

Oversee the management of ILS contracts within the Air Commodities Team.

Work as engineering support for the Air Commodities Team.

Adhering to the requirements of ISO 9000:2000.

MAIN/SPECIFIC TASKS

Assist other ILS Managers plan to meet users' requirements within performance, cost and timescales for nominated projects.

Providing input to project managers on ILS aspects for assessment of SSE compliance.

Liaise and foster good working relations with relevant Directorates of Equipment Capability (DEC), Front Line Commands, DE&S organisations, Other Government Departments (OGDs) and industry regarding post responsibilities.

Liaise with other IPT's on ILS requirements for tools, GPTE and ST&TE.

Undertaking technical investigations, as tasked by the Programme Manager (PM).

Act as ILS Manager.
