Instrument Technician

An instrument operator is needed to set up and adjust the equipment used at surveying job sites, stake boundaries and collect associated field data. Qualified candidates need 2+ years of related survey experience and a solid foundation in survey techniques, instruments, and principals. This is a temp-to-perm position located in the Columbus, OH area with 100% weekly travel throughout the region. Our client is only seeking local talent at this time and per diem is provided when working in the field.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Gather the appropriate filed data and stake boundary/ construction lines.
- Assist the survey crew chief in performance of job scope including operating field equipment, measuring improvements, and locating property corners.
- Assist in the initial topographic, as-built surveys, and maintaining survey equipment.

REQUIREMENTS

- Knowledge of the principles and practices of boundary surveys
- Experience with survey techniques, survey instruments and related technology
- Knowledge of algebraic, trigonometric and geometric formulas related to advanced calculations and surveying
- Ability to travel 100% weekly throughout the OH region
- Ability to walk up to 5 miles per day and carry up to 50 pounds.
