Instrument & Control Systems Engineer

The ideal candidate for the Instrument & Control Systems Engineer position will have:

* Experience of working with Instrumentation & Control Systems (DCS) in a Chemical processing or petrochemical environment (experience of working on a live plant in a similar industry would also be beneficial).

* A Maintenance background - small elements of design may be required in order to alter loop diagrams and design control loops from scratch so experience of this would be beneficial.

* An understanding of legislation around safety systems and experience of specifying instruments - a time served instrument technician could potentially work well from this perspective.

* An analytical approach to problem solving.

In return, the company I am working with will pay between £35k and £40k, dependant on experience. This is a company which is very keen to develop and promote its staff from within so this is a real opportunity to build a long term career for the right candidate.
