Major healthcare provider's Learning Solutions Team has an immediate part time contract position open for a Sr. Instructional Designer with E-learning and instructor-led training experience. In this role you will consult on the appropriate learning solution, conducts needs analysis, develop the support and evaluation plan, and design Web-based training, instructor-led training (virtual and classroom), and performance support systems such as online help for mid to large scale national projects. You will be responsible for managing the schedule and budget for your projects.

Responsibilities:

- Provide learning and training strategy consulting.
- Assess target audience's learning needs. Identify performance gaps and develop plans for the learning solution, post-training support, and business outcome evaluation.
- Design and write large, complex interactive training for national clients in a creative, team-oriented environment
- Develop performance support systems, including online help

Position Description:

Develop training solutions using prescribed tools according to process, quality, budget, and milestone standards. Identifies and raises issues/risks to ensure project success. Coaches peers. Provides input to Instructional Designer/Developer Leads (IDDL) regarding process and continuous quality improvement.

Experience Level: 6-10 Years.

Skill Set:

- Learning Training and Curriculum Design and Management experience. Computer Based Training (CBT) Design & Development, Technical Writing, Oral and Written Communication, Teamwork and Collaboration.
- Must have experience in web-based training, storyboard design, and Instructor-led training design.
- Must have excellent technical writing skills (however, not in lieu of training development skills)

Experience Requirements: At least 5 years experience.

Scope of the project:

The instructional design team works on as many as 50 different projects. Typically, a designer will work on a project for 2 - 3 months before switching projects. The projects include (but are not limited to) Peoplesoft, Remedy, internal systems.

A passion for instructional development. Candidates must love learning special features of a system and have the ability to describe and instruct others.

Educational Requirements (what is the minimum education required for this position?): BA or BS

Will the contractor be managing anyone? No

Will this position report to a Medical Facility (will they work in a hospital or clinic)? No

Work Environment: Typical office with business casual dress. Team environment.

Hours and days: Monday - Friday, 8 - 5. Candidates must be flexible with their hours. This will not always be a 40 hour work week. There will be times when there are less than 40 hours per week. Candidates who are unable to commit to less than 40 hours per week should not be submitted for this requisition.
