Installation Design Authority (SC) - Telford

Currently seeking an SC cleared Installation Design Authority, to be based on site in Telford for a contract duration of 12 months, to be confirmed by the client.

Due to the nature of the role and the time scale and requirements issued by the client, candidates have been asked to hold current SC level security clearance for this role.

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

In delivering the role, IDA is expected to carry out the following:

Administration - Administer and a manage the implementation and change process for all site delivery activity within his/her area of responsibility including:

- Tracking and progress of site activity.
- Delivery of ECR1 to ECR5 as appropriate.
- Delivery of the Minimum Baseline Measures Matrix (MBMM) report where appropriate.
- Delivery of the Beneficial Usage Statement (BUS).
- Delivery of the TEMPEST Countermeasures Assessment (TCA) report as appropriate.
- Delivery of the Site Security Checklist.
- Delivery of a Statement of Needs (SON)

Consultation - Attend the site survey and provide design consultation on the following:

- Design options.
- Security compliance.
- Standards compliance.
- Value for Money
- Non-standard solution opportunities.
- Health and Safety compliance.
- Electrical and environmental requirements for delivery in the SON.

Assurance - Undertake the following activities to in order to provide assurance of the Site Design pack and the final As-Fitted document set.

- A technical assessment of the design architecture to ensure that it is functionally correct.
- A review of all diagrams to ensure the network layout is complete and consistent with the design decisions made at survey.
- A review of the Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure accuracy and consistency with the design.
- A review of security documentation for completeness, accuracy and consistency with the design.
- A review of all test certificates to ensure compliance with relevant standards including:=
- Electrical Certification
- Copper cable test results.
- Fibre-optic cable test results.
- Inspections - Carry out on site inspections of the network installation at the following stages:

BUS - Inspect the Network equipment cabinets to ensure electrical and environmental safety.
Site Closure - Carry out a full inspection of all network components to ensure that installed infrastructure is compliant with:

- Legislative requirements.
- Customer policy
- National and European standards
- Contractual requirements

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

The following are required to qualify for the appointment as Atlas IDA:

Mandatory

- Have passed the MOD SCIDA course.
- Minimum SC clearance
- A suitable employment history in a relevant network design and installation discipline.
- A demonstrable knowledge of network testing procedures.
- A demonstrable knowledge of security and installation standards.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

- ITIL Qualified
- PRINCE 2 qualified
