Product Management & Maintenance - iSeries with the following requirements:
- iSeries system engineering experience &knowledge
- Minimum 5 years experience in an iSeries production/operational environment
- Familiar with all areas of iSeries Work management
- Good knowledge in iSeries Security concepts
- Operating System upgrades & and PTF installation knowledge
- Communications (IP) configuration/support skills
- WebSphere suite configuration/support skills
(WAS/HATS/Web Access/HTTPSVR/QMQ/WebTerm/Zend PHP)
- Technical Project leader skills
- Language requirements
- Fluency in English, spoken and in writing
- Willing to travel occasionally
- Office tools knowledge (word/xls/ppt/. . .)
- Qualities
- Team player following Volvo IT guidelines and rules
- Problem solver
- Stress resistant
- Motivated
- Degree: Master or equivalent by experience
The Production Technical Specialist carries out activities in receiving, accepting and deploying new Products or new releases from the Infrastructure Management (or Application) function. The Production Technical Specialist validates, verifies, prepares and deploys these for production in the runtime environment and ensures compliance with agreed delivery times, costs and performance targets.
The Production Technical Specialist carries out advanced technical support and optimum dimensioning of the production environment according to specifications.
- Products infrastructure components/products/applications and/or facilities in onetime
- Work according to routines in the area of responsibility for quality, efficiency and security
- Carry out installation and maintenance of standard products of infrastructure and/or applications in accordance with standardised routines
- Participate in carrying out operational measurements
- Resolve the majority of escalated incidents
- Contribute to input to Service Monitoring and Service Desk in all aspects regarding Event Management and Incident Management
- Contribute to input to the Service Runtime Management function with focus on optimizing services
- Suggest alternative solutions and point out deficiencies related to quality and security requirements.
