Infrastructure Systems Admin

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The candidate will work in a secondary role to backup and support critical enterprise business system in the Linux environment.
- In addition, the candidate will need strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to understand complex software systems to configure and tune the environments for optimal execution.
- The candidate will also participate on enterprise security projects to better secure the engineering systems including the hardening of the PLM environment.
- The candidate will work within the SCIS infrastructure teams and provide administrative support for Solar's Linux and Windows environments.
- Potential travel.

SKILLS:

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years server and development experience, in a Linux and Microsoft Windows operating environment.
- Applicant should be able to demonstrate a strong aptitude, excellent teaming and interpersonal skills and very strong communication and customer service skills.

DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

- Applicant should have excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments, priorities, and initiatives in a demanding environment.
- Knowledge of Linus, Windows, VMware, NetApp, Avamar/DataDomain and vBlock is highly desired.
