Ocom is a global internet services provider. For one of our companies, LeaseWeb, we are recruiting engineers for our Cloud team who can strengthen our multi-disciplinary product team. It is important that you have a passion for technology, infrastructure and large-scale systems. You are an experienced, technically skilled and committed infrastructure engineer, and you are looking for a challenge that goes beyond mere development or assembly; constructing a global cloud platform that will make LeaseWeb the leading player in the market. Working together with a variety of different departments, you will help to develop innovative extensions to our product portfolio.

You will be given ample opportunity to further develop your skills and expertise in your specialized field, or to broaden your knowledge base by learning more about other systems and technologies. The Cloud product team consists of a small team with a start-up culture, focused on the Cloud products in the LeaseWeb portfolio. The emphasis here is on all the systems that support the 'product life cycle': from delivery to billing and management.

This team of technical specialists drives the development of advanced platforms that enable us to deliver products and services to industry-leading customers. Your team is multi-disciplinary, and consists of broadly oriented, creative professionals. We believe that knowledge of the market, technical drive and cooperation contribute to the quality of the end product. As a result, you can fill different roles in the projects. That in turn provides an environment in which you have the space to develop both personally and professionally.
We use SCRUM to allow the flexible development of software and infrastructure, and above all to enable us to continue working on a well-functioning development cycle. Help finding housing - We identify flats or houses that meets your needs.
Permits, visas, and authorizations - Our agents take care of the applications for your residence document, work permit, and tax ID number and accompany you to the relevant government agencies.

To make your life a little easier, we also pay a one-time relocation fee of € 1500 (net) to help with your flight and rental deposit.

Requirements Infrastructure Engineer Cloud:

Knowledge around advanced and large-scale storage and compute platforms
Experience with DevOps, automated deployments, 'infrastructure as code'
Excellent knowledge of various operating systems (Linux/Windows)
Extensive knowledge of and experience with Internet (server) software and protocols
Experience in the hosting/ISP market will be an advantage
Experience in architecture / designing platforms that are built to last and are scalable
A preference for developing software in a small agile team

Expertise in one or more areas of competence:
Familiarity with/knowledge of/experience with large-scale (open source) Cloud management software products, such as OpenStack, CloudStack, OpenNebula.
Knowledge of / experience with (open source) Hypervisor technologies, such as KVM or Xen.
Knowledge about / experience with large scale storage and/or object based storage
Knowledge of /experience with virtualization technology implementation in combination with network and storage technologies will be an advantage.
As you will be working as part of an international team, it is important that you have a good command of written and spoken English
