TRADING INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER

Our client is respected Asset Manager located in Zurich.
We are looking for a contractor/consultant to join a long-term project to manage the Trading Infrastructure for Java and Python based trading systems.
START DATE IS ASAP.
The assignment is planned to run until the END OF DECEMBER 2017 with optional prolongation.
Tasks
- Responsible for all issues ranging from hardware and networking through to software build, deployment, automation and tooling.
- Learn new technologies such as Microwave and radio-frequency, and hardware acceleration
- Automation and customisation of applications that support the quantitative trading operations
- Optimisation and tuning of Real Time systems
- Involvement in test driven development and deployment of new systems to production
Requirements
- LAN/WAN architectural experience with excellent knowledge of network and system integration
- High degree of familiarity with projects in a global context (multiple locations, cross-cultural teams)
- Knowledge of Java, Python and Linux
- Banking knowledge (Advisory, Portfolio Management, Trading)
- Strong mathematical and organisational skills
- Good communication, presentation skills and MS Office skills
- Well-structured and proactive mind-set to work in a challenging environment to meet deadlines
- Fluency in English and German (written & spoken)
