INFRASTRUCTURE DATA ENGINEER
Our client, a major international bank, is currently looking a Infrastructure Data Engineer
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
In our effort to become a Data Driven Organization, Infrastructure Data is viewed as a strategic key asset in our IT organization. Data enables processes, automation and decision taking. Therefore data has to be managed and maintained adequately to provide transparency and to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
Understanding our data is a critical step to making data related decisions. Data documentation stream has been put together to understanding our data and its flow. The deliverables include logical data documentation, data tool chain, end-to-end flow of data in tools and publishing a data portal for use for our stakeholders
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the implementation of a tool-chain for Datamodelling, with activities including tool setup and configuration, test and comparison of alternative configurations, Scripting of additional features (eg for custom data import), testing, maintenance and documentation of new and existing scripts.
- Support the import of pre-existing data models, by manually reviewing, formatting and cleansing data in textual form to prepare it for parsing.
- Support The design of an Intranet web portal aimed at the dissemination of data models and related documentation, from the collection of requirements to the design and implementation.
- Development of integrations between the Datamodelling tool enterprise architect and the data portal, especially with the development of different graphical and non-graphical visualization formats
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language (C++l Java, C#) and in Javascript, familiarity with functional-style programming.
- Experience in web development, knowledge of Sharepoint technology is a plus
- Understanding of database and systems management modelling concepts at various levels of abstraction, familiarity with at least one modelling tool (Database or UML modelling). Previous experience with Sparxx Enterprise Architect is a plus.
- English is a must
