Infrastructure Consultant

One of my Glasgow based clients is currently looking for an Infrastructure Consultant to join them ASAP on a contract basis initially lasting three months with a possible extension after that.

This position requires a candidate who is an excellent communicator who is able to engage with staff of all levels.

THIS POSITION WILL SEE YOU CARRYING OUT THE FOLLOWING TASKS:

- Providing hardware support for; Laptops, desktops, Servers, printers, telecommunication equipment, CCTV, and audio visual equipment.
- Providing software support for; Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 and 2012, Microsoft Exchange 2007, Microsoft Office, Open Office, E-Mail Clients, HR Systems, and Finance Systems
- Performing daily server checks, backups, and updating corresponding documentation
- Installing a wide range of software and IT equipment
- Logging, monitoring and resolving helpdesk calls
- Assisting with and conducting user training
- Liaising with staff of all levels as well as external suppliers
- Participating in the on-call rota

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

- Proven experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of advanced Firewall programming
- Experience in setting up and administrating Microsoft Windows Servers and Microsoft Office
- Experience with SAN technologies
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policies
