Summary of Role:

The Infrastructure Architecture Manager is responsible for the development and ownership of the company Infrastructure Architecture Blueprint and roadmap. This will include the engagement with all ITO providers to discuss any potential new services/technologies that they may wish to implement at the clients as part of their Architecture Roadmap. The role with also carry the responsibility for establishing and maintaining the engagement model with all other Architecture and Application support teams in company Principal Accountabilities:

Owns and is responsible for managing the documentation and dissemination of the Institutional Knowledge' of the company technology/infrastructure landscape, and the plan to maintain its currency and improve its maturity. Responsible for owning the forward plan and integrity of all technology elements of the Solution Architecture stack (HW, OS, File store, Network, Database, Middleware, End user devices at n or n-1 levels of currency.) In conjunction with Application Developers, update the plan to facilitate the release of mission critical new applications or changes and at the same time, minimise the effort, cost and testing cycles required to achieve overall currency' of the company technology estate. For Applications/Services that require a new technology component, this role is responsible for working with the ITO providers and company Design Assurance & Optimisation to develop options for how best to address the Business, Data and Application requirements including gap analysis, impacts across the Architecture Landscape and manage any further development of the Technology Architecture Definition once the preferred option has been agreed. Finalise the Technology Architecture Definition through stakeholder review and sign-off. Work closely with IT Strategy and Architecture to ensure all infrastructure architecture is aligned to the overall IT Strategy and company business strategy. Work closely with the Design and Architecture teams within the ITO service providers for the assurance of all technology developments and their optimization within the company. Work with the ITO service providers to establish and maintain cross vendor technology roadmaps based on currency, capacity and technology refresh demands

Principle Challenges:

Establish fully documented infrastructure roadmap plans and manage the Suppliers in the delivery of their documented design standards required by all Supply chain members to ensure all new applications and services are aligned to these standards. Define and implement infrastructure architecture and design governance within the IT supply chain members. Ensure that the requirements identified by the company Strategy & Architecture function are communicated to all ITO suppliers and that the infrastructure roadmap plans are updated to reflect these requirements

Output & Results:

Ensures that the infrastructure architecture roadmap is documented and that all updates receive the appropriate level of governance within company and the IT supply chain Manages the dissemination of the Infrastructure architecture and roadmap plans to all members of the IT Supply Chain Ensures that the requirements of company strategy and architecture and the company. Business as a whole are reflected in the infrastructure blueprint, roadmap and plans. Ensures that the forward plan for the integrity of the company infrastructure estate is maintained in line with the requirements for the implementation and delivery of company mission critical applications while reacting to any regulatory, security or operational risk imperatives. Ensure that any architecture requirements from new company BPO providers is impacted, assessed and integrated into the overall architecture roadmap without compromising any key standards or principles. Relevant experience and qualifications required:

Comprehensive knowledge (10+ years) of the technical tower/domains in scope Knowledge of the principles of infrastructure architecture (TOGAF etc). Knowledge of business environment, service requirements and culture Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a technical discipline Professional Competency Level Strategic thinking and commercial acumen Teamwork and collaboration - working together to deliver results.
