INFRASTRUCTURE ARCHITECT (from the Financial Services or Banking industry)

LONG TERM CONTRACT

NORTH DALLAS, TX

W2 CONTRACT HOURLY RATE: based on experience

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

- Financial Services, Mortgage, and/or Banking experience
- Expert experience with Infrastructure Architecture, application design, systems engineering and integration
- 10+ years' of experience working with VMware and preferably, NetApp storage
- 5+ years' experience working with vMotion, SRM, vSphere, SRA, vCloud Director
- 5+ years' experience with NetApp, SnapMirror, SnapManager, ONTAPP
- 3 years of experience working as a Vmware/Virtual Server and/or Storage architect specifically, including modelling.
- Knowledge of Private/Public Cloud (PaaS, IaaS) and the principles to support the use of this type of technology
- Experience with IT governance and Enterprise Frameworks

ROLE:

- Partner with Networking & DBA's to ensure optimum network and data performance
- Review and approve the infrastructure designs
- Act as an important contributor to the development and maintenance of IT strategies and plans
- Utilize Project Management and SDLC methodologies as well as advanced business analysis, architecture and design skills
- Communicate highly technical and complex security concepts effectively across all levels of the organization (both IT and business)
- Data analysis, problem resolution, team building, judgment and decision making skills
- Participate in governance reviews
- Publish infrastructure standards and enforce them through pre-defined work processes
- Provide an environment across the enterprise in support of business strategy, decision making, and optimization
- Participate in/lead architecture studies and reviews
- Engage and influence business and technical audiences, drawing out diverse view points and driving to agreement
- Understand, consider, document, and clearly communicate enterprise trade-offs on decisions
