Yoh has a contract opportunity for an IT BUSINESS ANALYST to join our client in Voorhees, NJ.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Under limited guidance, acts as a liaison between business users and ITS projects during requirements gathering and analysis, process re-engineering, software configuration, testing, implementation, and roll-out. The Business Analyst is expected to thoroughly understand business activities to ensure technology-based projects are relevant and impactful. Senior business analysts promote the use of technology in the business arena through process-minded software configuration, testing, and end-user training.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Gathers/documents system requirements from users for software selection and development projects.
- Analyzes and documents business processes relevant to systems projects and improves processes where appropriate.
- Develops business process scripts, use cases, etc. used for configuring software to meet the needs of the user community.
- Routinely provides the ITS organization with feedback on the direction of the business.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to absorb and present large amounts of detail through various forms of communications to any level of business users, IT management, or technical role.
- Ability to facilitate and lead complex discussions in a mixed technical and business team environment.
- Must be able to suggest plans to integrate new and existing systems.
- Ability to interview business/functional users and technical staff and apply application/systems knowledge to business needs and document solutions.
- Must be self-directed and able to work effectively in a teaming environment with little direct supervision.
- Extensive knowledge of SDLC and PMO methodologies.
- Must understand technical problems and solutions in relation to the current and future business environments.
- Typically has seven (7) plus years of IT experience with at least six (6) years of emphasis on documenting business processes and system requirements.
- Experience on large, complex projects that have enterprise-wide impact and require subject matter expertise of process improvement areas and process improvement tools.
- Experience as a team member on projects to facilitate process improvements involving business areas. Often leads such teams.
- Experience in the development of business process scripts and/or hands-on experience with the configuration of business applications.
- Experience with multiple industries is expected.
- Experience with authoring business cases.
- Experience with project benefits (financial and intangible) elicitation, estimation and documentation.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- Experience with the utilities industry is highly desirable, but not required.
- IIBA [International Institute of Business Analysis] certification as a Certified Business Analyst Professional [CBAP] is desired, but not required.
- Experience with ARIS or similar BPM tools is desired, but not required.
