Information Services Consultant

OPERATION SUPPORT FOR THE CLOUD

INFORMATION SERVICES CONSULTANT needed to support the Commercial Cloud. The resource will possess domain expertise in cloud services, with hands-on experience in cloud operations, including the platform software environment.

THE RESOURCE WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWING IN SCOPE SERVICES:

- Provide technical support for cloud services
- Maintain subject matter expertise for cloud software environment
- Act as primary interface with software vendors for support and application and infrastructure teams
- Possess experience with performance management
- Provide technical backup to L2 teams in incident resolution
- Provide automation to support cloud service objectives
- Provide Software Deployment and patching, including establishing processes and Standard Operating Procedures
- Perform acceptance testing and certification
- Stay current with best practices and industry standards for software configuration and use, and maintain an awareness of how software is utilized by the application team to provide consultation
- Typically reports to a head of a unit/department

QUALIFICATIONS:

- May require certification in specific applications
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 7+ years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Familiarity with cloud computing concepts, practices, and procedures
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude expected
- Ability to provide leadership in planning, designing, and implementing business plans with information technology strategies
