Information Security Architect

SUMMARY:

The Information Security Architect will provide subject matter expertise in analysis and consultation on all new and existing enterprise IT security engineering and governance initiatives involving the implementation of security technology solutions to company. They will work effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure quality implementations within established timelines. This is a new full time position that will be a senior IT Governance team member and require extensive knowledge of secure reference architectures, such as infrastructure, network, and application design.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Ensures that projects, programs, and other activities in IT are implemented with proper consideration given to security concerns
-Participate in project scoping, requirements gathering, risk assessments, and designing of company's security operations, projects, and improvements
-Work collaboratively with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure & Operations, and Information Security Governance teams across diverse geolocation, cultural, and security-exposure backgrounds
-Documents information security architecture and requirements throughout acquisition life cycle, including design specifications, installation instructions, and other system-related information. Provides input on security requirements to be included in statements of work and other appropriate procurement documents.
-Manage enterprise vulnerability program to ensure that risks are at an acceptable level
-Develop information security responses to emerging technology risks
-Investigate, document, and report on network intrusion attempts, DOS/DDOS attacks, intellectual property and malware activity
-Prepare security monitoring trends and reports
-Assists PM in developing project plans, specifying goals, strategy, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allotment of resources for each phase of a project
-Assist security response teams with forensic analysis or incident management

QUALIFICATIONS:

-A minimum of 8 years experience working in Information Security
- A minimum of 5 years experience as a security engineer/analyst
-Must be able to demonstrate the ability to organize workloads and resources
-Demonstrated success in architecting, supporting, or managing large and complex IT security infrastructure and governance models
-Considered expert in product sets, tools & processes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

-A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline is required
-Eight (8) years of relevant experience is equivalent to a Bachelor's degree
-CISSP, SSCP
